Ingredient Substitutions and Additions:
My recipe calls for fresh garlic, and trust me, IT IS GARLICY. I understand that not everyone is a fan of garlic, so if you would like to omit it, that is totally fine. Here are some more ingredients that you can play around with adding or substituting!
Don’t be afraid to let your free-spirit experiment with this one, and as always, make sure to let me know how it was in the comments section of this page!
|Basil||I think fresh basil is perfect with the feta and goat cheese. But if basil isn’t your thing, try substituting it for fresh chopped parsley, cilantro or mint!|
|Garlic||Garlic is a strong flavor, and it is definitely strong in this recipe. If you don’t want to scare anyone with your vampire breath, try substituting it for a tbsp of fresh squeezed lemon juice. This will have the same ‘strong flavor’ effect without the lingering smell.|
|Feta||Feta is a star ingredient in this recipe, but you can always substitute it for another crumbly cheese like blue cheese or Gorgonzola! And I bet goat cheese would taste AMAZING in this recipe, just adjust the cooking time accordingly.|
|Other Ingredients||You know what would also be great on this Mediterranean diet snack? Chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and/or scallions!|
