Who will love this fizzy coffee recipe?
I will be the first to tell you, coffee spritzers aren’t for everyone! First of all, you have to enjoy the taste of tonic water.
If you absolutely HATE tonic, than you will probably hate this beverage.
BUT if you are the type of person that keeps tonic water stocked in their pantry at all times, than you will most likely LOVE the coffee tonic! Cranberries are inherently sour, so if you generally dislike the flavor of cranberries, you may not like it mixed with cold brew and tonic water.
BUT if you are anything like me and mix organic cranberry juice and seltzer all the time, than you are going to fall in love with this drink!

When to serve cranberry lime coffee tonic
I first experienced tonic coffee about 2 years ago at a small coffee shop outside of Boston. I was so obsessed with it, I used to make it every day before work!
It is a great quick morning beverage because you can just pour it all over ice in your to-go cup, and you’re good! This is also a delightful brunch coffee idea, because you can always add alcohol to it!
Cranberry lime coffee tonic can also be a wonderful holiday coffee idea! When you offer your family members coffee after Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, they won’t be expecting this festive take on an ice coffee!
Garnish it with cranberries, lime and thyme, and you will really be the talk of the party!

How to make a coffee tonic
It is really quite simple. You take cold brew coffee or a double shot of cold espresso, and mix it with tonic water and a splash of cranberry and lime juice. I personally like espresso better for this recipe, but not everyone has an espresso maker, so cold brew is totally fine to use.
At this point, you can drink it as is, OR you can add a little somethin’-somethin‘ to jazz it up!
Cranberry juice is great because it is such a strong flavor, however people have been known to add a variety of other ingredients to it, such as cinnamon and even orange juice! Stir it all up in a glass filled with ice and you are ready to enjoy your bubbly morning beverage.
And if you are trying to get your ‘girls day brunch’ on, I suggest adding your favorite spirit, such as gin, vodka or baileys Irish cream!

Cranberry Lime Coffee Tonic
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups cold brew coffee (or a few shots of chilled espresso)
- 1 7.5 fl can of tonic water
- 2 to 3 tbsp organic cranberry juice (I recommend the real stuff for better flavor)
- juice of 1/2 of a lime
Instructions
- Pour coffee into a glass filled with ice. Pour in the tonic water, cranberry juice and lime juice. Stir to fully mix and enjoy! (cranberry is very sour, so if sour isn't your thing, try adding some sugar)
