Peanut butter banana cookie dip is the best dessert dip recipe out there! This light and fluffy cookie dip is perfect for dipping with graham crackers, fruit or pretzels. It’s sweet, creamy and totally reminiscent of licking the beaters when you were a kid! And since it is egg free, it’s safe to eat! You are going to love the reaction of your friends when you bring this dessert dip with cream cheese to parties and get togethers.
What Does This Graham Cracker Dip Taste Like?
It quite honestly tastes exactly like you’re licking grandmas beaters after she mixed a big batch of banana cookies. Every bite is filled with mini chocolate chips, and the banana adds a fruity sweetness that pairs beautifully with the nutty peanut butter.
It’s similar to what a peanut butter banana smoothie tastes like, but much thicker. The consistency is light and fluffy, but sticky and perfect for scooping!

How Do You Make Peanut Butter Banana Cookie Dip?
Do you have 5 minutes? That’s all the time you need to make this quick and easy dessert for parties! And there is a good chance that you have most of the ingredients on hand already!
- Start by mixing together the room temperature cream cheese, butter and bananas with a hand mixer for about 60 seconds. You want to make sure that the butter is completely room temp, or you you will get little balls of butter throughout the dip, which doesn’t taste great!
- Now add the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and peanut butter. Mix again until fully combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips, and you are ready to serve! I recommend microwaving some peanut butter in about 1 tsp of water for 30 seconds and drizzling it over the top before sprinkling with confectioners sugar, mini chocolate chips and banana slices!

What Should You Serve With A Cookie Dip Recipe?
I thought this no bake dessert was absolutely DELICIOUS with graham crackers! They aren’t too sweet, and I love the crunch and crumble you get with every bite. But there are plenty of other options that you can dip into this peanut butter banana cookie dip. Here are a few of my favorite:
- Apple Slices
- Strawberries
- Animal Crackers
- Graham Crackers
- Pear slices
- Oreos or other cookies
- Pretzels
TIPS:
Use MINI chocolate chips | Since mini chocolate chips are so small, you get multiple pops of chocolate in every bite! When you are serving a dip, you want to be able to enjoy each bite without having to work too hard, and I find that the larger chocolate chips make it a bit less enjoyable because they are so big. |
Make sure the butter is room temperature | I have made the mistake of trying to rush this recipe and used a stick of butter that was still fairly cool. When the butter is not completely room temperature, it leaves little butter balls in the dip, which are not a great find when you are eating it. Trust me, and let the butter come to room temp before mixing it! |
Taste it before you add the brown sugar | I recommend this because everyones palate for ‘sweetness’ is different. Bananas have lots of natural sweetness already. I like the addition of the toffee-like taste that the brown sugar contributes, but you may find that it is sweet enough for you without adding the light brown sugar! |
