Frozen Beyond Burger In Air Fryer

You can absolutely make crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside Beyond burgers in an air fryer, and here's how!
Cook Time 18 mins
Course Dinner, lunch
Cuisine American
Servings 2

  • air fryer

  • 2 frozen Beyond Burger patties
  • vegetable based cooking spray

Optional Ingredients For Burger

  • Sliced red onion
  • Greens, such as lettuce, arugula, kale or spinach
  • Condiments like mustard or aioli
  • Choice of bun, such as a lettuce wrap bun, or whole wheat bun
  • Vegan cheese or any cheese

  • Take the frozen burgers out of their container, and toss out any parchment paper that is stuck to the burgers. There is no need to thaw them.
  • Spray each side of the frozen burger patties with vegetable oil for crispier burgers, or skip this step if opting for oil-less burgers. I do recommend lightly spraying the bottom of the air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
  • Place them flat in the air fryer basket in a single layer, and top with a crisper lid if your air fryer has one (this is usually found on the Instant Pot Air Fryer).
  • Shut your air fryer and set the timer to 9 minutes, and the temperature to 400 degrees F (no need to pre-heat). Cook for 9 minutes on one side, then using tongs, flip the patty and cook for another 9 minutes on the other side. The internal temperature should be 165 degrees F.
  • If you want to add vegan cheese, or any regular cheese, place a thin slice on the hot patty as soon as you remove it from the air fryer.
  • You now have the option to place place the burger buns in the air fryer to heat up for 1-2 minutes (don't do this if using lettuce wrap). Assemble your burger however you like, and enjoy!
