Orange Spiced Espresso Tonic

Orange spiced coffee is taken to a new level in this bubbly espresso tonic recipe! It's super easy to make and very refreshing, with warm spices and sweet orange complimenting the cool tonic and espresso.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (boxed is okay too)
  • 1 tbsp water
  • dash ground cloves
  • dash ground ginger
  • dash ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sugar (or honey or agave nectar)
  • 2 shots espresso
  • 3/4 cup tonic water
  • ice

Instructions
 

  • Make the espresso, and place in the refrigerator to cool.
  • Pour the orange juice and 1 tbsp of water into a small sauce pan. Add a dash of ground cloves, a dash of ground ginger, dash of ground cinnamon and 1 tsp sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and boil for 30 seconds while whisking. Once done, place in the refrigerator to cool.
  • When ready to make, fill a glass with ice. Pour in the tonic water first, then the espresso and orange juice mixture. Option to garnish with an orange slice. Mix well and enjoy!
